- Instant Start
- No password needed
- Easy to get going
It’s always free, with no login and no limits. Type a bio line or caption, pick a style, then paste it into Instagram. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type goes to a server.
Last checked: October 31, 2026. These are Unicode characters you copy. Preview each line in the Instagram app.
How to use this tool
- Type a name, bio line or caption in Type your text.
- Watch each style row update as you type, including Bold serif, Italic script, Bubble and Aesthetic.
- Watch the count under the box. It tracks 150 characters, and emoji and numbers stay as you type them.
- Tap Copy on a style row. The button shows Copied with a tick.
- Paste the line into a bio, caption, comment, display name or Story. These letters are not for usernames.
How the Instagram font generator works
You type plain text, and the page swaps each letter for a matching Unicode character. Because that table lives in your browser, the preview updates as you type. The page does not upload your text.
First, type a name, bio line or caption draft in Type your text. The list previews each style as you type: bold serif, italic script, doublestruck, monospace, circled, squared, small caps, aesthetic, bubble or upside down. Then tap Copy.
Emoji and numbers stay as written. For the same styles on TikTok, open the TikTok font generator. More helpers sit on the free tools page.
Copy and paste Instagram fonts into bios, captions and Stories
If you searched for Instagram fonts copy and paste, the job is short. Copy a line, then paste it into a bio, a caption, a comment, your display name or Story text. However, these letters will not stick in a username.
A few styles use uncommon symbols, so a letter can look blank on some phones. Also, keep key words in normal text.
Why fancy fonts do not work in Instagram usernames
The Help Center page on an inactive-looking username says you can add periods, numbers, underscores or abbreviations. But styled Unicode is none of those, so a bold letter will not save as your @ handle.
As a result, write the handle in normal letters, then check it under Edit profile. Your display name can carry a styled word. The username should stay plain, so people can type it and tag you. Need a handle first? Try the Instagram username generator, then test it in the app.

Character limits to watch
An Instagram bio can be up to 150 characters. That number is from the Help Center page “Add a bio to your Instagram profile”. Spaces and emoji count too.
Fancy glyphs may count as more than one, because some styles add a second mark. Others use characters that apps can count twice. The count under the box tracks 150 characters. Let Instagram’s own counter decide.
Meta’s developer docs cap a caption at 2,200 characters, plus 30 hashtags and 20 @ tags. That limit covers a photo, video, Reel or carousel caption. However, Story text and a Reel cover are not in that note, so preview them in the app.
FAQ
How do I get fancy fonts on Instagram?
Type a line, pick a style and tap Copy. Then paste it into a bio, caption, comment, display name or Story text. There is no font to install, because this fancy text generator only swaps in Unicode characters.
Do Instagram fonts work in usernames?
No, because the Help Center points you to periods, numbers, underscores and abbreviations. Styled letters are not among those, so use the username generator for the handle.
Are these Instagram fonts free?
Yes. It is always free, with no login and no limits, so copy as many styles as you like.
Will fancy text hurt my reach?
No published figure says styled letters change how far a post travels, so we will not invent one. Some people find a full line of symbols hard to read. A screen reader may spell those letters oddly, or skip them. However, plain text beside a short styled phrase stays easier to follow.
Can I use these fonts in Stories and Reels covers?
Yes, paste them into Story text or a Reel cover, but the boxes are short, so check the preview. The docs we checked list no character cap for those overlays.
Do emojis still work with fancy text?
Yes. Emoji stay emoji, and numbers stay as typed. They still count in the 150-character bio, and flags can count as more than one. Copy and paste fonts for Instagram can sit beside an emoji if the line fits.
Need a handle first? Open the Instagram username generator.
